Thwaitedale Cottages
A beautifully converted old chapel surrounded by stunning scenery

Stay in the East and West wing of this converted chapel in beautiful Thwaite. They are warm, cosy and welcoming properties, known for their superb facilities - stylish well equipped kitchens, comfortable beds, wood burning stoves or open fire. Look out on to fabulous views. There several great walks from the doorstep, with traditional Yorkshire country pubs nearby.
Thwaitedale Cottages can accommodate up to 12 people in 7 bedrooms: the East and West wing of the Chapel have 3 bedrooms each, and there is also a 1 bedroom cottage
Thwaite is still an unspoilt traditional farming village, nestled under Kisdon Hill in beautiful Upper Swaledale, part of The Yorkshire Dales National Park. At various times through the year the sheep are herded through the village, and during late May/June the wild flower meadows burst into colour.
Enjoy a stroll down the fields or the walk to Keld and Muker around Kisdon Hill, taking in views of the River Swale. As you wander around you'll soon understand why 'Swale' is Old English for 'The Wild One'!
